For the past 20 years the Biomedical Imaging Laboratory, headed by Dr. Arthur Gmitro, has developed innovative solutions to diagnose diseases in-vivo. The prevailing goal of our research is to develop technologies that help medical practitioners better diagnose diseases at earlier stages and with less invasiveness than current technology allows. From new theoretical techniques in magnetic resonance imaging to clinical trials in optical biopsies, our laboratory not only contributes to the greater body of scientific knowledge but also emphasizes translational research that brings new technologies to todayʼs patients.
